Foul Play
Foul Play is dedicated to examining classic works, spanning from ancient mythology to 19th Century literature. We aim to interrogate and reimagine these texts through a prism of modern feminism, to create work that is ambitious and experimental in both content and form.
We have a number of guiding principles that we implement throughout our work. We are committed to:
-
Feminism: female voices, experiences and stories are at the heart of every work
-
Championing cultural diversity
-
Staging our productions in non-traditional theatre settings
-
Exploring male vulnerability
-
Creating works with as little carbon footprint as possible to combat anthropogenic climate change.
